Dead bolts, chains, or bars may lock your doors, but only the Z-BAR in the locked, or view mode, will withstand over 1,000 lbs. of force. NO other perimeter security device can make this statement.
NOTE: The strike plate is screwed to the inside of the door frame, not surface mounted. This construction will prevent any force exerted against the door to cause the Z-BAR to break away; forced, unwanted entry is prevented. |
Z-BARs are security devices which lock your door, and enable you to open it 4",
safely, to see who is there; locks, dead bolts, or chains can't do this Z-BARs,
Keyed and Keyless have 4 operating modes: icons on the Operating Knob will
depict the appropriate mode
- Open - Turn the Operating Knob horizontally and entry is possible
- View -
Turn to the vertical position, door opens 4", but entry is prevented
- Locked -
Turn to the reverse horizontal position and entry is prevented
- Turn the Dubl-Nite-Latch on the Strike Plate over the Z-BAR and door is Extra
reinforced
Z-BAR is available in both keyless
and keyed versions.
The operating knob will enable the door to be opened 4",
safely, lock the door, and when the "nite-latch" on the strike plate is turned onto the unit, the door is effectively sealed.
