About the Founder

S. Levenson is EXXCEL’s founder. All but two of the Security
Devices/Systems and all of the Do-It-Yourself Products and Power
Tool Accessories in EXXCEL’s product concept portfolio were
developed by him.
He is pictured here at the entry to the Applebee’s Restaurant
on Joppa Rd in Towson, Maryland near the corporate headquarters
of Black & Decker. He is pointing to, and holding, the famous
Drill Guide which he invented, developed, and manufactured for
them.
He was retained as a new product consultant. Of the many
products presented to them they accepted 9. He developed
and manufactured 8
of the products. Only one, the Band Saw, was manufactured by
Black & Decker in
house.
